Department of Music
Music at Virginia Tech has two equally important educational missions, training our students at the undergraduate and graduate level and encouraging the musical talents and interests of the entire Virginia Tech campus.
The Department of Music offers a wide range of performance opportunities for students at Virginia Tech, majors and non-majors alike. Music at Virginia Tech presents over 125 concerts per year, from guest recitals to symphony performances, chamber music to concert choirs. Guest performers and faculty participate in four established music series throughout the year; in addition, student ensembles have active performance schedules that include practically every style and period of music.
